The Belem Tower of Lisbon

Belem is charming district to the west of Lisbon full of parks and monuments lining the edge of the Tejo estuary. The highlight of the district is the miniature fort the Torre de Belem (Tower of Belem) which was once in the centre of the estuary protecting Lisbon from invaders.
