Teatro do Eden (Eden Theater), Lisbon

The Teatro do Eden is Lisbon's best preserved example of Art Deco and is a beautiful building to behold, there is a garden level high above the streets and the pink marble of the extrior facada glimmers in the bright sun of Lisbon. The Teatro do Eden is located in the Praca dos Restauradores square of the Baixa district.

During the early era of cimema going the Teatro do Eden would show the latest silent movie but as portugals movie studios closed the Teatro do Eden was converted into a hotel. Today the Teatro do Eden is an exclusive boutique hotel but has helped the Art Deco facade from deteriating as with so many of lisbon's great buildings.
