Olaias Metro Station, Lisbon

Olaias metro station on the Red Line is an amazing, functional, piece of modern art. The high cellings are faulted by huge steel pillars and the exit tunnels are lavishly decorated as can been seen in the image above. Locals joke about Olaias Metro Station that the station is so beautiful decorated to compensate for the area of Olaias which has very little for tourist to visit.
