Castle Sao Jorge, is the castle that sits high above the district of Baixa and Lisbon's early history was decided within the solid walls of the keep. Much of the ramparts were re-constructed during the 1920's but faithfully followed the original design of the castle. Castle Sao Jorge provides tourists with panoramic views over central Lisbon, ramparts which extend around the castle and the ancient citadel to explore, to read further about Castle Sao Jorge.
